Eat Until You Are 80% Full

The Okinawans (famed for their impressive lifespans) live by a mantra Hara Hachi Bu which loosely translated means eat until 80% full.

Admittedly not my strong point but eating slowly and finishing with room to spare is amongst the best nutrition habits we can practice.

Whether scoffing broccoli or donuts following the Okinawans advice means fewer total calories, easier digestion and a lighter more energised feeling after meals.

It’s a win all round
