Warrior Sweeps

 

During the warrior sweep your upper body transitions back and forth from a forward lean to vertical. This continually shifts the strength dynamic between your quads, hamstrings and hips.


Performance Tips


  • Adopt a split stance with both feet pointing straight ahead
  • Drop down into a split squat position
  • Front thigh parallel or close to parallel with the floor
  • Your front knee should be directly over your ankle
  • Back knee should be off the ground
  • Lean forward over your front leg and sweep your arms back
  • Smoothly and gently sweep your upper body upwards to the vertical
  • Maintain the static hold in your legs
  • Pause briefly then sweep back down to the forward lean position
  • Continue until your lower body can hold the posture no more
