Funny as it sounds you can’t actually control whether you lose weight. The only thing you can control is your actions.
This is where your focus should be, on the things you know, if done consistently, will push you towards your destination (in this case… weight loss!)
Eating some fruits and veggies with every meal
Preparing lunch at home to avoid the fast-food trap
Eating less frequently throughout the day
Performing regular bouts of resistance exercise
Eating slowly and stopping when 80% full
(Or whatever is doable and sustainable for you)
Instead of stepping on the scales and hoping measure success by how consistently you stick to your plan (you can always change it if you aren’t heading in the right direction!)
Start small, absorb yourself in the process and eventually the weight loss will flow.
